How this works

Every listing starts from public business records. Nobody pays to be listed, and nobody pays to rank higher in the organic results.

Featured cards are labeled. A business that subscribes gets a marked card above the organic list on its city page and a “Featured” label on its listing. Each city page has two Featured spots; when more businesses subscribe there, the spots take turns daily. That is the only thing money changes.

Badges mean one thing each. Veteran-owned means the owner told us so and we kept the source. We never call a business "verified."

We remove listings that close, lose a required license, or ask to be removed.

Ratings and review counts come from public sources and are shown as we found them, with their source named.
